BLOOMINGTON - Central Illinois will get another round of winter weather this week.

The National Weather Service said a storm will impact Central and southeast Illinois Monday through Tuesday night. The most widespread precipitation will start Monday night and last through much of Tuesday and will include freezing rain, sleet and snow.

WMBD 31 meteorologist Karissa Sanford said the snowfall total depends on the storm system.

"It looks like we could see up to two to four inches of snowfall in the Twin Cities area," Sanford said. "That's going to be on the heavier side. The more sleet that mixes in, the less snow we'll see."

LaSalle and Grundy counties will be under a winter storm watch where there's a possibility of as much as 4 to 6 inches of snow Tuesday.

Warmer temperatures along the I-70 corridor will produce mainly rain.
