BLOOMINGTON - McLean County Sheriff's Police are following up on leads as they investigate a string of vandalism west of Bloomington.
Sheriff Mike Emery said the department received 12 reports of residential mailboxes being smashed in an area along Route 9 between Friday and early Sunday.
Emery said the damage to the mailboxes is similar in each case. They were all smashed with an unknown object. Police believe the same people were involved in each incident.
No arrests have been made. Emery said anyone with information is asked to call the sergeant's desk at McLean County Sheriff's Office at (309) 888-5019.
