NORMAL - Normal Police are investigating a Sunday night stabbing.

Lieutenant Dan Kelly said police were called to the 1400 block of East College Avenue at about 9:40 p.m. to a report of a stabbing. Police tracked down the victim, a 20-year-old man, at a local hospital. He had several cuts on his hands, what Kelly termed 'defense wounds.'

Kelly says the victim knew his attacker and it appears to have been an isolated incident. The victim told police he was stabbed with a switchblade knife.

Police haven't made any arrests.

The victim is in stable condition.
