OKLAHOMA - Is the "Bucket List Bandit" really sick and dying?
A Florida man arrested after a nationwide search for the bank robber who hit banks in 9 states, including the PNC on West Market in Bloomington, has been ordered held in an Oklahoma jail. Michael Eugene Brewster appeared before a federal magistrate in Muskogee, Oklahoma Friday on a robbery charge filed in Pennsylvania.
He allegedly told some bank tellers he had only a few months to live, thus the nickname. But prosecutors say they don't know if the 54-year-old's story was true and a public defender wouldn't comment. Brewster did cough a couple of times during his brief court hearing.
