BENSENVILLE - An Amber Alert that was issued early this morning for an 18-month old girl has been lifted as the toddler has been found safe.
The alert was issued at about 2:30 a.m. after the Bensenville girl was reportedly taken, along with her mother's car.
Police say Kimberly Delgado's mother left her car running early this morning when a Hispanic man wearing a red sweater jumped into the vehicle and took off. Authorities don't believe the car thief intended to take the child.
Police haven't said whether anyone is in custody.
