CLINTON - A roll of the dice will determine the winner of a DeWitt County Board race that finished in a tie.
Terry Ferguson and challenger George Wissmiller were separated by one vote after the Nov. 6 election. But the race was tied after DeWitt County officials conducted a mandatory election canvass with absentee and provisional ballots the race was tied.
The dice toss is scheduled for today at the DeWittt County Clerk's office in Clinton.
Wissmiller ran as an independent and is a retired Champaign police officer. Ferguson is a Republican who previously served on the board.
