YATES TOWNSHIP - A husband and wife were killed in a crash with a semi-tractor trailer east of Chenoa on Sunday night.

McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling identified the victims of the crash Monday afternoon.

Kimmerling said Eldon and Stephanie Kaeb, from rural Arrowsmith, were in the car that was traveling north on County Road 3360 East and was struck by the semi headed west on Route 24 in Yates Township at about 9:15 p.m.

Kimmerling said preliminary information indicates they were leaving a family event and were headed to Wisconsin at the time of the crash.

She said the Kaebs had nine children.

The driver of the semi wasn't hurt, and autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday.
