Bloomington man found not guilty of attempted murder in Nov. shooting

BLOOMINGTON - A Bloomington man was convicted on five felony counts Friday, but has been found not guilty of attempted murder for a November gang-related shooting.

A McLean County jury found 19-year-old Jake Williams guilty of aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm and three counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

Williams was involved in a shooting on Orchard Road on Nov. 5, when two men were shot from behind. The injuries were not considered life threatening.

A Bloomington man has been found not guilty of attempted murder in a connection to a November shooting on Orchard Road. A jury found 19-year-old Jake Williams Williams could see six to thirty years in prison. He'll be sentenced April 26th.
