BLOOMINGTON - The Bloomington Police Department caught 50 more speeders during an enforcement detail Friday.
Department spokesman Dave White said the detail was for traffic traveling east on Ireland Grove at Glasson street, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
White said all vehicles were given an 8mph cushion so the slowest speed for a stopped vehicle was 64mph. He said the fastest speed recorded was 75mph.
The enforcement zone was directly in front of Katie's Daycare Center on Glenbridge Road, and White said police had received numerous complaints of excessive speeding in the area.
Bloomington Police have increased patrols recently, ticketing 110 motorists so far this week.
