BLOOMINGTON - The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts passed the $500,000 mark Wednesday for ticket sales this season.
That's the venue's second-fastest season to reach the half-million sales milestone. The 2008-2009 season hit the mark on Jan. 23, 2009.
So far in the 2012-2013 season, 19,216 people have purchased tickets. The BCPA reported five sold-out shows including stage-versions of the TV-shows "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and "The Price is Right," the musical "Fiddler on the Roof," comedian Mike Birbiglia and a performance of "Away in the Basement: A Church Basement Ladies Christmas."
