BLOOMINGTON - There will be three candidates for mayor in Bloomington and Normal for next year's municipal election.
Monday was the last day to file a petition to be on the ballot on April 9.
In Bloomington, Tari Renner, Lex Green and John Hanson are running for mayor. In Normal, incumbent Chris Koos faces challengers Victor Connor and JeVaughn Martin.
Bloomington Wards 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 are up for re-election. Ward 1:Bernie Anderson, Kevin Lower. Ward 3: Mboka Mwilambwe, Lane C. hansen. Ward 5: Jennifer McDade, Matthew Koetters. Ward 7: Scott Black, Ryan Fiala, Bernie Uszcienski, Don F. Frank. Ward 9: Jim Fruin.
Running for Bloomington Township Supervisor are Steven Purcell, Stephanie D. Uzueta, Deborah Skillrud and Larry T. Brooks. Steve Scudder and Natocha Troyer are running for Township Assessor.
There are three open spots on the Normal Town Council, with six candidates. They are Jarrod Rackauskas, Kevin McCarthy, Scott Preston, Gary Ohler, Ron Ulmer and Cheryl L. Gaines.
