WJBC, in partnership with Frontier Communications and Roberts Trophies, is again proud to present the High School Athletes of the Week.

Here the winners for the week of Nov. 5, 2012:

Sydney Billingsley - U-High Cross Country

Sydney led the Pioneers to a 2nd-place finish in the Class 2A State Cross Country Meet by finishing 6th in the individual competition with a time of 17:21 in the 3-mile run at Detweiller Park in Peoria.

Cory Eastham - LeRoy Football

Cory tied an IHSA Class 1A playoff record by scoring six touchdowns in the Panthers' 78-46 win over Flanagan-Cornell-Woodland in the second round of the playoffs. Cory rushed for four touchdowns and scored on a reception and an interception return to lead the Panthers to a state playoff scoring record.
