NORMAL - Illinois State basketball fans will have the opportunity to help needy families in McLean County, while enjoying a women's basketball game against Northwestern on Friday night at Redbird Arena.

The ISU athletics department, in conjunction with WJBC, AM-1230 and FM 93.7, will hold a WJBC Brotherhood Tree Night. Fans, who bring unwrapped gifts for the WJBC Brotherhood Tree to the 7:05 game, will receive a ticket voucher for the Jan. 4 women’s game against Northern Iowa.

"it's a great way to give to others," said ISU women's basketball coach Stephanie Glance. "I understand that it's a long-standing tradition that WJBC does. It's something that I am glad we're combining with women's basketball to help other people in the community."

Gifts for the WJBC Brotherhood Tree should be dropped off at the north or east entrances in collection bins, which will be placed at each entry point. The WJBC Brotherhood Tree provides gifts for all members of the family, so the donated gifts can be for all ages.
