ELMHURST - Victor Davis lead four Titans in double figures with 14 points as Illinois Wesleyan topped Elmhurst, 71-52, in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin battle at R.A. Fagenal Hall.
Kevin Reed posted 11 points and 16 rebounds as IWU outrebounded the Bluejays 39-37.
The Titans took the lead for good on a 13-0 run midway through the first half after a sluggish start.
Davis came to life in the second half scoring 12 of his 14 points and making 8 of 9 free throws.
IWU shot 25 for 32 at the line to seal the win, their eighth straight.
The No. 16 Titans improve to 8-0 in the CCIW, 16-3 overall. IWU will visit Augustana on Wednesday.
IWU women win
The Titan women jumped out to a 27-6 first half lead and forced 31 turnovers en route to a 67-51 win over Elmhurst.
Colleen McMahon led IWU with 16 points as the Titans cruised throughout the second half after taking a 35-15 lead into the locker room.
IWU improves to 13-6 with its fourth straight win. The Titans are 6-2 in the CCIW.
