BLOOMINGTON - Illinois Wesleyan's shooting guards were their best shooters at Shirk Center on Saturday.
Basically being forced to split 40 minutes of playing time, Pat Sodemann scored 15 points (all on three pointers) while Brady Zimmer added 14 off the bench in a convincing 80-51 win over Elmhurst in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin win at Shirk Center.
The No. 25 Titans took a 40-27 lead into halftime and quickly put the Bluejays away with a 20-6 run in the first eight minutes of the second half. Elmhurst missed 12 of 13 shots during that stretch.
IWU continued to show the strength of its bench, as Titan reserves scored half of the team's 80 points as the Titans reach the 80-point mark for their second-straight CCIW win.
The Titans (10-3, 2-0 in CCIW) will face No. 19 Augustana at Shirk Center on Wednesday.
