NORMAL - Illinois State senior forward Tyler Brown is day-to-day with a sprained right thumb.
Brown injured his thumb in the first half of Tuesday night's 83-77 loss at Bradley. Team officials said the injury was confirmed Wednesday morning by an X-ray and MRI.
Brown is second on the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game. He was suspended earlier in the season for "conduct detrimental to the team." and sat out one game.
With Tuesday's loss, Illinois State is 3-7 in the Missouri Valley Conference and 12-10 overall.
The Redbirds host Southern Illinois on Saturday at 3:05 p.m.
