Two of the top teams in the Big 12 headline WJBC's high school basketball coverage tonight.

Normal West plays host to Champaign Centennial at 7:30 p.m. Larry Duling will describe the action on WJBC 1230 AM, 93.7 FM and here on WJBC.com.

Redbird baseball season opener

Mark Kingston's Illinois State Redbirds open the 2013 season this weekend in Memphis. The first of a three-game series against the Tigers is scheduled for 4 p.m. today here on WJBC.com.

Redbird softball plays two

The Illinois State softball team makes its annual trip to Tempe, Ariz. to the ASU Littlewood Classic. The Redbirds play two games against Minnesota today. The first contest is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. The second game will start at 8:30 p.m. Both games will be on WJBC.com.

Blaze on the road

The Bloomington Blaze visit the Missouri Mavericks before coming home for a game Saturday against Rapid City. Greg Halbleib has the call at 7 p.m. here on WJBC.com.
