NORMAL - The race for McLean County Board District four is a crowded one.

Four people are seeking two seats, and that includes Democrat Sally Pyne. She's an advisor at Lincoln College in Normal and worked at ISU for 18 years. She said she's motivated to do public service.

"A lot of people get real frustrated with federal government and state government, but where we can all really make a difference is participating in and looking in local government," Pyne said. "And, I really think we can help put the government to work for us."

Pyne said she wants to be a good steward of county finances.

"My focus, more than anything, is going to be in the education area since that's been my background and my expertise, and just to see if there are opportunities for the county to support education in any way," Pyne said.

She is running against Democrat Steven Campbell and Republican incumbents William Caisley and Ed McKibbin.
