BLOOMINGTON - The Normal Public Library finally knows the last winner in the library board race.
Demonstrating that every last vote counts, Terry Lindberg edged out Erik Bush for the final spot on the board. McLean County Clerk Kathy Michael and staff counted three provisional ballots with the proper voter registration records. Two voted for Lindberg and one for Bush. There were no absentee ballots.
The race had ended in a tie and the Clerk's office was waiting until Tuesday for the final eligible ballots to be returned. Lindberg was not in attendance but Bush said he wasn't sour about losing by one vote.
Ironically, neither Bush nor his wife voted in the race.
