LEROY- Illinois State Police say they believe that a man they had been searching for is safe, but they still want to talk to him as they investigate a crash in LeRoy.
State and local police used officers, police dogs and night vision equipment to lead a search for James Odom, 46, of Foosland after the Champaign County man reportedly ran away from the scene of a crash on Route 150 at about 10:30 p.m.
Police don't know why Odom left the scene.
