BLOOMINGTON - Three men have been taken into custody following a shooting in Bloomington early Sunday morning.

Reports say three people were shot at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning on the city's east side. Bloomington Police officers were dispatched to 1101 Gettysburg in the No. 11 apartment for several reports of shots fired.

Officers arrived on scene and found a crowd of people outside and more inside the apartment where a very large party had been taking place. Police reports indicate it was "a very chaotic scene" that officers were able to manage with assistance from Normal Police.

Police said Monday that a group of party-goers had been asked to leave and then returned a short time later. According to the official police statement, "words were then exchanged and the shots fired."

The conditions of the three initial victims, along with a fourth, have been identified as follows:

Shanieca Mack, 18, of Bloomington, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Last report is that she is in stable condition at OSF St. Francis in Peoria after being transferred from OSF St. Joseph's in Bloomington.

Preston Bellamy, 18, of Bloomington, sustained gunshot wounds to the face and neck. Bellamy is listed in stable but critical condition at OSF St. Francis in Peoria after being transferred from OSF St. Joseph's in Bloomington.

Kwaan Mason, 21, of Bloomington, suffered a gunshot wound to the posterior and is in stable condition at Bromenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.

Jonathon Lipscomb, 18, of Bloomington, was grazed by a gunshot and was not taken to a local hospital due to his injury not being severe.

Jail records show arrests were made early this morning of Ross Johnson, 20, of Normal, on a preliminary charge of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. Malcolm Johnson, 19, of Normal faces charges of aggravated battery and obstruction of justice and Dartaeveon Miles, 21, of Bloomington has been booked on a preliminary charge of obstruction of justice.

All three men could appear in McLean County court on Monday.
