Police and the McLean County Coroner's Office have identified the victim of a train crash in Chenoa late Friday, as they continue to investigate what happened.

McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling says Anthony Bernardini, 53,of Spring Valley was pronounced dead at the scene. He reportedly walked into the path of a northbound Amtrak train while he was walking near a family home where he had been staying shortly after leaving a convenience store.

His identify was confirmed through fingerprints.
