ARROWSMITH - The McLean County coroner said Monday that speed did not play a factor in a fatal ATV crash in rural Arrowsmith Saturday night.
Coroner Beth Kimmerling said 24-year-old Lucas A. Stork of Chatsworth didn't suffer any specific fatal injuries in the crash, but rather he couldn't breathe while trapped under the ATV. Kimmerling said Stork wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, though one was available and toxicology tests have been ordered.
The McLean County Sheriff's Department, Arrowsmith Fire and LeRoy EMS responded to the accident late Saturday. They reported Stork and three others had been riding the ATV before it crashed in a roadside ditch.
The passengers were not seriously injured.
