NORMAL - The search for the 18th president of Illinois State University is hitting the web.
A new website - IllinoisState.edu/PresidentialSearch - will allow alumni and community members to stay updated on the continuing search for President Al Bowman's replacement. The site includes search committee updates and allows for individual input on what you want to see in the next head at ISU.
The site will track progress throughout the search as well as update when finalists will be on campus.
“The selection process for Illinois State’s 18th president is critically important to every University stakeholder, so it is important everyone can see how the process unfolds,” ISU Chief of Staff Jay Groves said. “Although the search committee will do a great deal of work, we want people to be able to follow the process and have the opportunity to contribute their thoughts as the selection moves forward.”
ISU has hired national search firm Greenwood, Asher and Associates to assist with finding candidates. Board of Trustees Chair Michael McCuskey said he hopes the new president will be in place for the fall semester.
