BLOOMINGTON - A temporary increase in employees working at State Farm Corporate South is creating a parking crunch that's prompted the insurer to allow employees to work from home one day a week.
"What we have asked is that if people want to voluntarily work from home, they could then work in the building one, two, or three days per week," spokeswoman Missy Dundov said. "It would be until this project work is done."
Dundov didn't give specifics on the project, but said there have been more employees on the campus, with some coming from State Farm's Corporate Headquarters.
She didn't give a timeline on how long the project would affect parking.
"Once that traffic starts to lighten in the Corporate South area, we will start having more people work from their offices," she said.
