NORMAL - Two candidates for the Normal Public Library Board have filed petition challenges against four others.

There are six total candidates seeking three open seats on the board, including Charles Sila, Karl Sila, Katherine Rexroad, Dawn Wilson, Erik Bush and Terry Lindberg.

Charles Sila and Terry Lindberg filed a challenge to Katherine Rexroad's petition claiming she didn't have enough signatures. Lindberg also filed petition challenges against Chuck Sila and Karl Sila claiming the two didn't complete the paperwork.

The Normal Municipal Officers Electoral Board, which consists of Mayor Chris Koos, Councilman Jeff Fritzen and Clerk Wendy Briggs, will meet Monday night at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Uptown Station to start the hearing process.

Two, six-year term positions and one, four-year term position will be elected April 9, 2013. The two year positions expire in 2019 and the four year term comes up for election again in 2017.

Charles and Karl Sila already serve on the board. Bush is the Unit 5 business manager. Terry Lindberg is the former McLean County administrator. Wilson works at State Farm.
