BLOOMINGTON - Bloomington Fire Department officials said one person was taken to the hospital after a car crashed into an apartment building at 112 West Locust Street Thursday morning.
Police said the man may have been having an insulin reaction when he crashed into the apartment building. He was apparently traveling north in the southbound lanes of Center Street when the crash happened.
The driver was reportedly trapped in the car and had to be extracted from the crash. He was taken to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.
Traffic was rerouted on Center at Locust for about one hour Thursday morning.
