The 100 Black Men partnering with the Central Illinois Links will host African American Men and Women Taking STEPS (Screening, Treatment, and Education Program) together saves lives. The event includes our traditional breakfast as well as lunch this year. The event format will include gender specific health awareness sessions as well as a joint session.
Health & Wellness is a vital component of a thriving community. Our objective is to increase awareness and expand knowledge regarding current research, therapies and practices which have demonstrated efficacy in the treatment of illnesses that disproportionately affect the African American community. Armed with this information, men and women are encouraged to have conversations with their own physicians about cancer, other health risks, and general wellness. This event will take place on October 13, beginning at 8am. It will be held at the Chateau Hotel , across from The Shops at College Hills.
