Illinois Spina Bifida Association 21st annual Memorial Walk-and-roll-a-thon.
Sponsored by the Central Illinois group of the Illinois Spina Bifida Association, the annual Walk-and-Roll-a-Thon is held to benefit those with spina bifida and to raise awareness about spina bifida. In addition, the Central Illinois event is designated the Memorial Walk, to honor Kaylin Rood, Shannon Kolodzieski, Emma Kenny, and Sarah Whitted of the local area who have died, as well as to celebrate and support the roughly 166,000 Americans who are living with spina bifida. The 21st Annual Memorial Walk-and-Roll-a-Thon event will help the organization continue to serve, strengthen, and enrich the lives of those in Central Illinois – and those who love them – through support, education, and advocacy.
The 21st Annual Memorial Walk-and-Roll-a-Thon will feature a 5K/3 mile walk, followed by a picnic lunch at the Tipton Park North Shelter. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges to participate, but there is no minimum.
