DeWitt Co. voters say "no" to landfill expansion again

A group fighting a proposed expansion of the Clinton Landfill says the public has spoken. DeWitt County voters -- by a two to one margin Tuesday -- asked the county board to rescind its support for the expansion to allow chemical waste. County voters struck down a similar measure earlier this year -- asking the public whether it should support the expansion. WATCH Clinton Landfill President Matt Varble says the county board can't ignore a second overwhelming vote against the landfill expansion.

But County Board Chairman Steve Lobb says how the board voters doesn't matter -- because the EPA has the final say.
