BPD arrests five people for Tuesday night robbery

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police picked up five people Tuesday for a robbery on the city’s southwest side.

Police were originally called about a burglary at an apartment complex on Basil Way but discovered a different story once they got on scene.

BPD says a group of masked males allegedly beat a resident of the complex and then took several pieces of electronic equipment from the victim’s apartment.

An investigation lead police to apartments in the 800 block of East Washington in Bloomington where they located a suspect vehicle, the stolen property from Basil Way, drugs and two handguns.

According to a release, nineteen year old Roger E. Mendiola was arrested for Robbery and Possession of a Firearm Without A FOID Card

18-year old Madison N. Goin, 18-year old Tyrel D. Jackson, 18-year old Tremayne Stancle along with an additional juvenile male we all arrested for Robbery.
