One person wounded in east side shooting

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police confirmed one person was wounded in a shooting that happened late Sunday night in a residential area on the city’s east side.

Police were called about 11 p.m. to Dianne Drive and Lisa Drive, near Clearwater Avenue and Airport Road. That’s where police said a man suffered at least one gunshot wound to the leg.

He apparently did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Police said the man was taken to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

There have been no arrests.
