High school football opens Friday night

After weeks of summer camps, school-year workouts and scouting reports, the 2019 high school football season opens Friday night with a nearly full schedule.

The WJBC Friday Night High School Football Extravaganza returns on WJBC-AM 1230 and WJBC.com from 6:05 till 11 p.m. The featured game is Danville at Bloomington with reports every quarter hour from Central Catholic at Pontiac, U-High at Sacred Heart-Griffin, Richwoods at Normal Community and Decatur St. Teresa at Tri-Valley.

Normal West opens Saturday night at 7:00, facing Peoria Notre Dame at Peoria Stadium with play-by-play live on WJBC.com. Click here to listen to the Extravaganza at 6:05 Friday and Normal West at Peoria Notre Dame Saturday at 6:45.
