BLOOMINGTON – Hamburger and hot dog buns sold in Illinois and other states are being recalled.

Flower Foods is recalling hamburger and hot dog buns sold under brand names of Nathans, Flowers, Great Value, Market Pantry, Wonder, Piggly Wiggly and several others.

The cause of the recall is due to the potential presence of small pieces of hard plastic that may have been introduced during production.

No related injuries or illnesses have been reported.

Flower Foods advises customers to discard the affected product.
