GOODFIELD – The Woodford County Coroner said preliminary autopsy results for the five people killed in a fire in Goodfield over the weekend suggest they experienced carbon monoxide intoxication.

Coroner Tim Ruestman identified the victims as 69-year-old Kathryn Murray, 34-year-old Jason Wall, two-year-old Rose Alwood and Damien Wall and one-year-old Ariel Wall.

All were pronounced dead just before midnight Saturday night.

Two others in the home, Katrina and Kyle Alwood, were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated and released.

Eureka-Goodfield Firefighters were called to 14 Cypress Court at 11:15pm, where they arrived to find the trailer fully engulfed in flames.

The fire remains under investigation.

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…
