Cardinals Caravan to visit Bloomington

By Greg Halbleib

BLOOMINGTON – The St. Louis Cardinals are bringing their annual pre-season tour to Bloomington-Normal in late January.

The Cardinals Caravan is scheduled to visit Parke Regency Hotel and Conference Center at 1413 Leslie Dr. on Bloomington’s east side on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 4:30 p.m. Scheduled to appear are players Jose Martinez, John Brebbia, John Gant and Lane Thomas; former players Al Hrabosky and Bengie Molina; and emcee Tom Ackerman.

As in previous years, the Cardinals will implement an autograph ticket system at each stop.  The first 400 kids, ages 15 and under, through the door on the day of the event will receive a free autograph ticket which guarantees one autograph from each current and former player.  Due to high demand, autographs will only be available for fans 15 and under.

Admission to the Caravan is free. The event is hosted by WJBC-AM 1230, longtime affiliate of the Cardinals Radio Network.
