Weekend shooting injures one

BLOOMINGTON– A weekend shooting left a teenager with a non-life threatening injury after he was shot in the leg.

A statement from the Bloomington Police Department says BPD responded to the 800 block of Douglas on Saturday to find four juveniles.

Witnesses at the scene said a black male approached them and pulled out a gun. Shortly after the suspect allegedly started shooting for no reason and then took off on foot.

Evidence of multiple shots being fired in the area was discovered by the police.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Bloomington Police department or McLean County Crime Stoppers.
