LeRoy PD: Danville man on Facebook lures child for sex

LEROY – LeRoy Police have arrested a man accused of using the Facebook Messenger application to solicit sex from a child.

Edward Harper, 49, of Danville allegedly used the instant messaging app about September 30 to solicit sex acts with an 11-year old child in LeRoy.

LeRoy Police went to Harper’s Danville home to arrest him on Thursday. Harper is being held in the McLean County Jail before he appears for a bond hearing.
