Mary Ann Boruff (Duffy-Pils Memorial Home)

 

CHATSWORTH – Mary Ann Boruff, 75, of Chatsworth, passed away at 7:45 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Fairbury; with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Chatsworth Township Cemetery, Chatsworth.

A visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. prior to her funeral service also at the church in Fairbury.  Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of services. Memorial contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church of Fairbury.

Mary Ann was born June 6, 1943 in Fairbury the daughter of Alfred and Edna (Heinz) Hitch. She married Larry Boruff on January 10, 1961 in Chatsworth.  Her husband Larry survives in Chatsworth.

Other survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Sadat) Mostafa of Iowa City, Ia; Corinne (Jack) Wortz of Delaware, Oh.; two grandchildren, Samantha Mostafa of Iowa City, Ia.; David Wortz of Delaware, Oh.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Christine Morgan.

Mary Ann was a familiar face at Dave’s Supermarket in Fairbury.   She retired after 20 years of employment at the grocery store in Fairbury.  She always had an afghan to enter in the Fairbury Fair and loved to put puzzles together in her free time.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairbury.
