Willow St. closing for water main installation

NORMAL – Beginning June 18, 2018 Willow Street between Linden and Beech streets will be closed to through traffic, and remain closed until approximately Tuesday, June 26 for water main installation for the Walnut Street water main project crossing of Willow Street.

Walnut Street will remain open to local traffic only from Cherry Street to Sycamore Street through the completion of the project. Eastbound Willow Street motorists are urged to use Linden Street to College Avenue to Blair Drive to Fort Jesse Road as a detour. Westbound Willow St. motorists should use Beech St. to College Ave. to Mulberry St. to Linden St. to Willow St. as a detour.
