Coroner: Head injuries from fall caused man’s death in parking garage

BLOOMINGTON – A man found Monday morning in a downtown parking garage died from head injuries received in a fall on stairs according to McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis.

The coroner says toxicology results are pending for Miguel Orellana, 48, of Bloomington. He was pronounced dead at 6:45 a.m. after police on foot patrol found his body in the Market St. parking garage.

Bloomington Police say the investigation continues although no suspects are being sought. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Paul Swanlund at 434-2373 or McLean County Crime Stoppers at 828-1111.
