BLOOMINGTON РA garage with two vehicles inside was destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon, but firefighters were able to prevent serious damage to a nearby home.

Bloomington Township Fire Chief Tom Willan said a man was working on a pick-up truck when the fire broke out at the Dave Price residence at 1301 Alexander Road.

“Bloomington Township’s first engine showed up the 30 by 40 (foot) garage was fully engulfed and it was extending to a two-car garage that was behind the 30 by 40 foot and it extended into the house a little bit,” Willan explained.

There were no injuries, and the chief said investigators are determining what caused the fire.

Bloomington Township firefighters were aided by Bloomington, Downs, and Heyworth fire departments.
