BLOOMINGTON – Jerry Lee Fowler, 73, of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Per Jerry’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. The family has suggested for any memorials to be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
Jerry was born on October 24, 1944 in Bloomington. He is the son of Raymond Dwight and Ivagene “Gene” (Neal) Fowler. He married Judith Kay Sweetin on March 24, 1964 in Hudson, Illinois.
Jerry is survived by his wife Judith and their children; Bethany (Jeffrey D.) Smith and Bradley Fowler both of Bloomington. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Duane Thackrey and Cherish (Matthew) Walsh, great granddaughter; Sophie Walsh and his brother; Larry Duane Fowler of Bloomington along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father a daughter; Gaylee Fowler and a sister; Marilyn Fowler.
Jerry worked at State Farm, retiring in October of 2000 after 30 years. He had a firm belief in the Christian Faith and believed in giving to charitable organizations in need. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
