Longtime Reagan assistant Grande to visit Eureka College

EUREKA – Peggy Grande, longtime personal assistant to President Ronald Reagan and the author of ‘The President Will See You Now,’ will visit Eureka College on March 14 at 7 p.m. in Becker Auditorium as part of the Ronald W. Reagan Society of Eureka College Book Series.

In the memoir, Grande reveals what day-to-day life was like in Reagan’s California office, including the former president”s relationship with the First Lady and his interactions with friends, world leaders and everyday Americans.

“The Reagan Society is pleased to welcome Peggy Grande back to Eureka College,” said Mike Murtagh, Eureka College Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Reagan Society spokesperson. “Peggy is an amazing woman who served President Reagan with distinction. Given that Eureka College was so important to Ronald Reagan in the beginning of his life, we are excited to hear Peggy’s stories of Ronald Reagan in the twilight of his life.”

Grande, who regularly makes speaking appearances across the nation and was featured on The Today Show on Feb. 21, was President Reagan’s executive assistant during his post-presidency years. She was also the keynote speaker at Eureka’s 2015 Reagan Society Birthday Dinner.

Grande will deliver remarks prior to a book-signing and reception. Admission is $10. The memoir will be available for purchase at the event.
