BLOOMIGNTON – Ameren has been named a top military friendly employer by Victory Media for the eighth consecutive year.

Ameren Workforce Planning and Workforce Development Manager Betsy Miller said Ameren has long been committed to hiring veterans.

“We have specific recruitment events for veterans. We offer them opportunities, also, to learn about our job opportunities and how to prepare for them,” she said.

Since 2012, Ameren has hired 172 military veterans and spouses. Miller added this award creates another avenue for the company to attract top talent.

“The veterans that are in our communities have great leadership skills and a desire to serve,” said Miller. “Being recognized as a top military employer really gets the message across.”

Miller said the veterans they hire work in all levels and divisions of the company.
