BLOOMINGTON – A false bomb threat was called into Eastland Medical Plaza two near OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington Thursday afternoon.

Bloomington Police Spokeswoman Sara Mayer says the Medical plaza was evacuated for a short time.

“Thankfully no explosive devices were located during the search of the area,” said Mayer. “We will continue to investigate into the false bomb report. These threats tie up valuable emergency response resources that could be used elsewhere in our community.”

Mayer says the bomb threat was called in shortly before 2.

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
