LEXINGTON—Joseph Edward Sadler, 62, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in rural Chenoa.
His visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Duffy Pils Memorial Home in Chenoa. A private service will follow with a Celebration of his Life at a later date.
He was born on June 6, 1954 in Baltimore, MD; the son of Jess and Blanche (Granger) Sadler. His passion for music brought him to Central Illinois, where he met and fell in love with Deborah Annette Barrett. They were married on July 14, 1990 in Chenoa. She survives in Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Annette Klein and Margaret Merkel.
Joe’s legacy includes a lifetime of hard work, laughter, and beautifully performed music. He is survived by his sisters, Jeanne (Garry) Boyce of Charleston, SC; Jessica (Ed) Dunn of Johnsonville, GA; Lynnette Klein-Matsinger of Florence, SC; and Erma Mary (Joseph) Lapinski of Thomasville, PA; mother and father in-law, Bill and Sharon Barrett of Chenoa. His living legacies are his children, Nicole of Dundalk, MD; and Sarah and Mitchell of Lexington, as well as his grandchildren, Alyssa, Hunter, and Annabella.
Joe was a rock star in all aspects of life. He was a great son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He will be forever missed.
