Joseph Deane Hinshaw, 61, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:10 p.m., May 29 at his home.

His memorial service will be at noon, Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bloomington.  Visitation will be from 11:00am to noon, Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Joe was born Dec. 5, 1954 in Bloomington, the son of Charles Deane and Ruth Julian Hinshaw.

He is survived by his father, Deane Hinshaw of Bloomington; seven brothers and sisters, Ruth Ann (Doug) Smith of Mesa, Ariz., George (Cynthia) Hinshaw of Normal, Edward (Angie) Hinshaw, Don Hinshaw, Jane Wimp, Jim Hinshaw and Karen Hinshaw, all of Bloomington, and a brother-in-law, Bernie Feldman of Syracuse, N.Y.; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Jerry Hinshaw, a sister, Nancy Feldman and two nieces, Laura Jean and Sarah R. Feldman.

Joe also leaves behind his faithful dog Bo, who he spent 15 years of his life with.  He enjoyed sailing, motorcycles, music, shooting pool, golfing and playing frisbee.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and a lifelong Cubs fan.

Kerry HinshawKerry Hinshaw

Kerry L. Hinshaw, 55, of Hudson passed away at 6:14 p.m. on May 27 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

His memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Hudson United Methodist Church in Hudson with Rev. Scott Carnes and Rev. Steven Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Inurnment will be at Hudson Township Cemetery in Hudson. Memorials may be made to Hudson United Methodist Church.

Kerry was born on July 7, 1960 in Normal, a son to Vernon G. and Darlene Sheppelman Hinshaw.

Surviving are his mother, Darlene Hinshaw of Hudson; twin brother, Kevin L. (Coreen) Hinshaw of Hudson and brother, Kalin L. (Jennifer) Hinshaw of Hudson and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Kerry was a contractor, building homes and remodeling with his father for many years.

He was a member of Hudson United Methodist Church.

Marilyn KirchnerMarilyn Kirchner

Marilyn L. Kirchner, age 81, of Urbana, formerly of Normal, passed away on May 29 at the Champaign County Nursing Home.

Marilyn’s service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington with Pastor Sheryl Palmer officiating.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Following services burial will be held at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.

Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.

Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

Marilyn was born on June 29, 1934, in Bloomington, the daughter of Will and Lula M. Sayers Carmack. She married Carl W. Kirchner, Jr., on Sep. 12, 1951, in Peoria. He passed away on Dec. 18, 1995.

Marilyn is survived by her children; Michael Kirchner of Lake Bloomington and Sandra (David) King of Champaign; and five grandchildren; Chad (Noelle) Kirchner, Blake (Kara) Kirchner, Anna Kirchner, Chelsea King and Lauren King; and four great grandchildren; Owen and Luke Kirchner, Nora and Audrey Kirchner. Also surviving is one brother; Vernon Carmack of Florida.

She is preceded by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Marilyn is a member of First United Methodist Church of Normal. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, boating, traveling, bowling and crafting. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
