Chad Henry Guenther, 41, of Chicago, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 1:42 p.m., May 3 at his home.
His memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington with Rev. Sarah Tunall officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Chad was born April 1, 1975 in Naperville, the son of Henry J. and Joan E. Love Guenther.
He is survived by his parents, Hank and Joan Guenther of Bloomington; a sister, Gretchen (Billy) Granville of Sugarland, Texas; a brother, Eric (Natasha) Guenther of Mishawaka, Ind.; 11 nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles and 11 cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Ruth Guenther and his maternal grandparents, Gil and Dorothy Love.
Chad attended Naperville Central High School, Bloomington High School, Westlake High School in Westlake, California and Illinois State University.
He had lifelong cardiac complications. He led a very active life and loved Chicago sports.
Chad was an extremely loyal friend and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
