Darlene Helen Fields, 79 of Apache Junction, Ariz.; formerly of Chenoa, died Oct. 11 in Mesa, Ariz.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fields will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Her Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday and one hour prior to her service on Tuesday, also at the memorial home in Chenoa.

Darlene was born April 21, 1936 in Pontiac; the daughter of Glenn and Helen (Oltman) Hoerner. She married her husband of 53 years, LeRoy H. Fields on Aug. 6, 1955 in Eppards Point Twp. He preceded her in death June 23, 2008. Her parents, one brother Roger Hoerner and one son, Ronald Fields also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son; Rick (DiAnn) Fields of Normal; one daughter, Sally (David) Dehority of Gilbert, Ariz.; Darlene has five grandchildren, Adam and Brooke Fields, and Amber, Nevada and Branden Dehority; one brother, Robert (Betty) Hoerner of Pontiac; two sisters, Betty (Bill) Fairfield of Pontiac; Linda (Larry) Rigdon of Normal; and brother in-law, James (Rose) Fields of Westville, Ind.

After high school Darlene worked as a Beautician until going into business with her late husband LeRoy spending their lives helping others as a Manager / Owner of Chenoa Builders. Moving together to Arizona in 1985 she worked for Howes Mobile Home Sales and then Owner / Operator of Dowes Mobile Homes.

Darlene loved and was involved with Mountain View Lutheran Church, Apache Junction, Ariz. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Lutheran Church, 2122 S. Goldfield Rd. Apache Junction, Ariz. 85219

Betty VogelBetty Vogel

Betty M. Vogel, 86, of Bloomington, formerly of Heyworth, passed away at 7:22 a.m. on Oct. 14 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Mondayat Kibler-Brady-Ruestman memorial Home in Bloomington with Rev. Jim Warren officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the start of service at the memorial home on Monday.

Interment will be at Heyworth Cemetery in Heyworth. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital National Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of Central Illinois.

Betty was born on Oct. 14, 1929 in Bloomington, a daughter of Charles and Mary Graham Huston. She married Kenneth Darnall and he preceded her in death in 1991.

Surviving are her children, David (Lorraine) Darnall of Heyworth, Debra (Richard) Erickson of Bloomington, Dwayne (Mary) Darnall of Riverton, Dean (Mary) Darnall of Bloomington and Denise (David) Vassallo of Secor; grandchildren, Tina, Tamara, David, Deirdre, Ian, Jose, Josh, Jasmin, Jessica and Aimee; step grandson, James Kirk; and 14 great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Kenneth; a brother, William Huston; a sister, Mary Goldsmith and a grandson, Jeffrey Darnall.

She worked in the insurance business in Bloomington. She enjoyed gardening and loved all pets.

Betty will be missed by her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren as she makes her journey home.
